MalAware

MalAware is a lightweight and portable application that scans the computer for malware agents. However, it does not implement a function to remove infected files.
While the application does not provide an anti-virus solution, it can be used as a secondary means of identifying e-threats.
Since installation is not a prerequisite, you can drop the executable file somewhere on the hard disk and click it to run.
It is also possible to save MalAware to a USB flash disk or similar storage unit, in order to run it on any machine with minimum effort.
What's more, the Windows registry does not get updated with new entries, and files are not left behind on the hard disk after removing the utility.
The interface is based on a standard window with a plain and simple layout, where you can initialize the scanning procedure with the click of a button. Only the critical areas of the system are verified. Results show the total scanned processes and malware traces, along with detected objects.
MalAware does not put a strain on computer performance, since it requires a very low amount of CPU and RAM to work properly. It is very responsive to commands and works well, without causing the OS to hang, crash or pop up error dialogs.
Thanks to its intuitive layout and overall simplicity, even first-time users can quickly figure out MalAware.
