Master Password is a reliable password generator that enables you to visualize the desired keyphrase at any time. The application does not store the passwords or send them across networks. Instead, it features an encoding algorithm that requires specific data, so when the same information is provided twice, it generates the same password.
The access to Master Password is encoded with a username and a keyphrase, that you need to provide in order to gain access to its function. In order to obtain the password, you need to specify its length, difficulty and a key, which is usually a website. The software makes use of all this information in order to generate the password, meaning it is enough for you to provide the same data each time you need your password.

Characters, length and difficulty

The number and type of characters is defined by which option you select, from the menu. The software offers 6 configuration types for the password, starting with the Maximum, which consists of 20 characters, both alpha-numeric and special symbols. You may also choose Long, Medium, Basic, Short and PIN, the latter being a combination of four digits.
The ‘Site Name’ field supports URLs, words, character strings or names. This represents the key for the AES encryption method, so it is important that you always provide the same key if you wish to obtain the same password.
