MaxRAMFree Description

MaxRAMFree is a freeware Windows tool designed to boost system performance by freeing up memory either manually or automatically based on user-defined parameters.
While many other similar applications provide tons of features and lots of configuration options that do nothing more than to scare away beginners, MaxRAMFree focuses on the tools we need the most.
And you shall notice this from the very first launch, especially when seeing the interface. With a tabbed layout that serves as the foundation for the clean look, MaxRAMFree comes with different tabs to show information and let you configure auto optimization.
The “RAM Info” tab presents the free and the total memory, as well as paging file statistics. You can of course free all memory or minimize the app and wait for the auto tools to do their magic.
The “AutoFree” screen on the other hand lets you configure two optimization methods. The first one enables MaxRAMFree to auto free a user-defined amount of memory at a pre-configured interface, while the second one also involves a minimum percentage of available memory.
MaxRAMFree places an icon in the System Tray and is supposed to run all the time, but this doesn’t necessarily mean that it slows down the computer. Instead, it works like a charm on all Windows versions and doesn’t even ask for administrator privileges.
Overall, MaxRAMFree proved very effective during our testing and indeed optimized the memory, boosting system performance whenever this was possible. It’s fast and reliable and quietly sits in the System Tray without hampering computer performance.
