MediaJoin Description
For joining two movies or audio files you generally need a video editor or a specialized tool of the sort. MediaJoin presents you with a simple solution which allows you to arrange items in the order you want.
Simple installation and clean interface
The setup process does not pose any kind of issues and it is over in a jiffy, while the interface you come by presents a pretty simple, yet not so easy on the eyes design. It consists of a small menu bar, a few buttons and a panel in which to view the uploaded items. Furthermore, Help contents are incorporated, so that you can be sure you understand how everything works.
Supported formats
The program supports common video formats such as AVI, MPEG and WMV, as well as audio ones including MP3, OGG, WAV and WMA, both at import and export. All items can be uploaded with the help of a file browser, as the “drag and drop†feature is not supported, which is a small setback.
Configure a few parameters and add ID3 tags
It is possible to configure the output settings. To be more precise, when it comes to videos, you can change the audio codes, bit rate, width, height and frame rate, while when it comes to songs, you can control the bit rate, channels, frequency and bits per sample.
When you join two audio files the program helps you fill in the ID3 tag information with a dialog window at the end of the process. This option is not set by default yet you can enable it from the File menu.
A last assessment
The computer’s performance is not going to be hampered, regardless of the process under way, as the CPU and memory usage is low at all times. The response time is somewhat good and our tests did not reveal any errors or bugs.
All things considered, MediaJoin proves to be a pretty handy piece of software, yet it is quite simple and thus it might ward off power users.
