Metronome Description
Metronome is a small Windows application designed specifically for helping you produce regular beats per minute, and is suitable for all types of users who need to keep a steady tempo as they play various instruments. This tool helps you correct any irregular timing issues and gives you a clear sense of timing and tempo.
User-friendly GUI
You are welcomed by a clean and simple layout that embeds all dedicated parameters into a single window. The utility allows you to alter the tempo by simply pressing on the corresponding numbers.
Main features
Metronome gives you the possibility to make use of bar markers (3/4, 4/4, and 6/8 time), as well as alter the volume pretty quickly, thanks to the built-in slider.
On the downside, the app doesn’t let you choose between several preset tempo beats, such as Largo, Adagio, Moderato, Allegro, and Presto.
Testing its performance
Since it doesn’t require much computer knowledge to work with this tool, even less experienced users can master the operation with just a few clicks. During our testing we have noticed that Metronome carries out a task very quickly, provides excellent audio quality, and no errors showed up throughout the entire process.
As it would be expected from such a small utility, it manages to remain light on system resources, so it doesn’t burden the overall performance of the computer, nor interfere with other programs’ functionality.
Bottom line
To sum things up, Metronome proves to be a handy piece of software worth having when you need to adjust irregular timing issues. Thanks to its intuitive layout, it is suitable for beginners and professionals alike.
