Mext Description
Mext can be used as a simple text editor, but its functionality goes way beyond this. It is designed to assist you in creating CHM help files, HTML pages with CSS content or resource files (RES) to integrate within your projects.
A different approach
The application works with data blocks, which sets it apart from other documentation or webpage creator out there. While its interface is rather simple and all options are one-click away within the toolbar, using Mext at its full potential requires you to take a look at the 'Help' section.
Its main advantage is that it enables you to focus on design, mixing objects and elements such as images, text blocks, page parts, comments, frames, tables, links, conditions and so on.
Insert various elements and link blocks together
In order to start a new project, you must first create a new document page, where you can start writing text, insert images and links, generate tables, create lists, format the text and customize its style. The page can include separate code sections and items can be separated by lines.
Mext enables you to design page parts that are repeated several times, such as headers. Data blocks can contain several elements and you can define styles and conditions for each page, as well as link different pages to create a logical structure. Additional settings can be inserted as individual blocks (for instance, if you want to modify the page background).
Created projects can be easily exported as HTML, CHM or plain TXT files or saved to your computer for later processing.
Create help files and web content with ease
Mext can assist you in creating professional-looking documentation files for your applications, as well as webpages with simple structures. It is advisable to take some time in order to completely understand its functions and the way data blocks are linked together and used to create pages. Once you get the hang of it, creating help files and simple webpages is a breeze.
