MicroBin

MicroBin is a small software application whose purpose is to help you empty Recycle Bin items with ease. The utility is designed as a fork of MiniBin. It can be deployed on all Windows versions out there.

Comes in a portable edition

This is a portable program. You can store it on pen drives to have it with you all the time. In addition, you may run it without administrative privileges. You only need to open the executable file in order to gain access to the tool’s features because there’s no setup included in the process.
It does not leave entries in your Windows registry and leftover files in your computer, so you can uninstall it using a simple deletion task.

Unobtrusive running mode

MicroBin runs quietly in the system tray without disturbing your work with popup notifications. The tray plays a key role because it is the place from where you can control the application and configure the dedicated parameters. Right-clicking on its icon opens up its own set of functions.
Although there’s no support for a help manual, you can tweak the options on your own because they look very easy to work with.

Deletion tasks

MicroBin simplifies the deletion process to only just a few clicks. You can delete the content of the Recycle Bin by simply double-clicking on the program’s icon from the system tray. The icon is animated and is colored with green when you send items to the Recycle Bin, or is shown empty when there are no items.
What’s more, you are allowed to open the content of the Recycle Bin from the system tray. We have tested the application on Windows 8.1 Pro and noticed that it carries out the deletion process very quickly and without errors. It is not a resource hog so you can keep it running in the background without worrying that it affects the overall performance of the computer.

Final remarks

In conclusion, MicroBin has to offer nothing more than a simplistic approach and basic features for helping you get rid of items stored in the Recycle Bin. It is suitable especially for less experienced users.
