MIDI KaraokePlayer

As the name implies, MIDI KaraokePlayer allows you to listen to music and to sing along. It supports sound tracks with the Midi format only.
This is a portable piece of software, so installing MIDI KaraokePlayer is not necessary. It means that you can store the tool on a USB flash drive or any other removable device, save it to any computer and directly run its executable file.
The most important aspect is that the Windows Registry does not receive new entries (thus, minimizing the risk of system errors), and no leftover files can be found on the hard drive after program removal. Plus, you can put MIDI KaraokePlayer in your pocket and use it at parties.
The simplistic app is packed in a plain and intuitive interface where you can load a track by using only the file browser, since the "drag and drop" is not supported.
So, all you have to do is press the play button and wait for the lyrics to be highlighted in red, in order to sing along. Few configuration settings are available via the Options screen; you can select the MIDI port and delay compensation (in milliseconds), as well as switch to a different font for the lyrics (e.g. set color, style, size).
The lightweight program runs on a very low quantity of CPU and system memory, so it shouldn't put a strain on the computer. It has a good response time and worked smoothly during our evaluation, without hanging, crashing or displaying error dialogs.
On the other hand, MIDI KaraokePlayer comes with limited features. For example, it does not allow you to integrate lyrics into the MID file of your choice. Therefore, you can use only the five available samples, until you get new songs. Thanks to its overall simplicity, less experienced users can quickly get adjusted to MIDI KaraokePlayer.
