Mini-IE

Getting access to this information superhighway requires you to have a specialized application that can take you there. Mini-IE is one of them which promises to do so in the blink of an eye.

Lightweight and easy to use

It does not take a rocket scientist to use any of the existing web browser and the same applies to this one. The interface is intuitive enough to let you quickly accommodate and start visiting your favorite web pages as soon as possible.
The upper toolbar is fitted with the imperative address field, along with navigation buttons and options to print content or go to the home page.
In more technical terms, you only need about 1 Mb of space available on your hard disk drive and the amount of system resources used is not something to worry about.

Good but far from being a pro

Taking it for a spin proves to you how fast it can get the job done. Web pages load almost instantly given that your Internet connection has a pretty decent bandwidth.
However, as far as features are concerned, these are limited to good navigation speed. Even though there is a “Home” button available, it only takes you to what is set in Internet Explorer, with no possibility to change it using the application's options.
Furthermore, favorite web pages need to be manually accessed each time, because of the missing favorites manager. There is a history tracker available, but once you close the application, stored data is lost.
Last but not least, if you want to browse on multiple pages at once you have to open more instances of the application, because tab support is not one of the available features.

Taking everything into consideration, we can say that Mini-IE's only pride relies in the speed with which you can visit web pages. A lot of important features are missing, keeping it far from being a pro. These limitations also affect your experience, as it is not practical to be used over long periods of time.
