Minutes Alarm Description
There’s only enough time every day to perform all tasks, and take some time for yourself so you can start over the next day. Careful management of time is greatly enhanced if done on a computer, with various applications like Minutes Alarm which help you configure tasks, and set up reminders so you don’t miss appointments.
Layout, and perks of portability
One of the application’s main advantage is portability, so you can carry all alarms and reminders with you on a thumb drive, in case you have a busy schedule. This also means that the computer you use it on doesn’t suffer when the app is running, because registry entries are not modified in the process.
A compact window shows up on launch, with a prompt asking whether or not you want to set a one time only alarm. Regardless of your choice, configuring timers, messages, and other parameters is done in the same manner. The only inconvenience here is you can’t minimize to the tray area, but only to taskbar.
Set alarm time, and alerts
Setting up an alarm requires little effort, and is done by writing down the time in which the alarm to start, with the value specified in minutes, ranging from 1 to 32000, which is the equivalent of roughly three weeks. Hitting the “on†button starts the time, and you can minimize the application.
On the other hand, you can take the time to choose what happens when the alarm goes off. A simple solution is to enable sound alerts, with a default, or custom WAV file to set. The sound can be set to repeat until you turn the alarm off, time in which the taskbar icon flashes for better indication.
A few last words
Bottom line is that an efficient time management can be used to your advantage, so there’s more personal time at the end of the day. We can safely state that Minutes Alarm, although a little rough around the edges, manages to live up to expectations, with an easy to use layout, and possibility to enable audio alerts, messages, or run a specific program.
