Mix2Stix Description
Mix2Stix is a lightweight Windows application whose purpose is to help you copy random MP3 files from the hard drive to a USB flash drive or MP3 player. This way, you do not have to manually select the songs to listen to while running, jogging, working out, or performing other activities.
Portable tool
You can store Mix2Stix on USB flash drives or other portable devices to have it with you all the time. In addition, you can uninstall it using a quick deletion task because it does not leave entries in your Windows registry.
Gaining access to the program’s features requires only opening the executable file since there’s no installation included in the process.
You should know that this is a Java-based tool so you need to have the working environment installed on your computer in order to open it.
Simple-to-decode GUI
You are welcomed by an intuitive layout that gives you the possibility to tweak the dedicated parameters in no time. You can make use of preset hotkeys for faster actions but these cannot be reassigned.
Copying options
Mix2Stix gives you the possibility to specify the source folder and choose the destination directory where the MP3 files are copied. What’s more, you can limit the size of the file transfers to a user-defined value and apply filters by file extension (e.g. ZIP, EXE, PNG, JPG, MP3).
Other important configuration settings worth being mentioned enable you to clear the destination directory, replace the existing files, save the current settings to a file on your computer so you can quickly upload them in your future projects, and access a log file which contains information about the copied files and possible errors.
A popup notification message is shown at the end of the copying process which shows details about the number of copied files and size. Mix2Stix carries out the copying job pretty quickly and without errors. It eats up a moderate amount of system resources.
Final words
All things considered, Mix2Stix provides a simple and efficient solution for copying random files in a user-defined location, and is suitable for rookies and professionals alike.
