MockFlow

MockFlow is an Adobe AIR-based application whose purpose is to help you design and collaborate user interface concepts for your software programs and websites. The tool implements the right utilities for defining the arrangement of a website’s content, including interface elements and navigational systems.

Account configuration

In order to make use of the program’s capabilities you need to provide details about your account (email address and password). You can alter the details about your account via MockFlow’s GUI, as you may assign an image, edit first and last name, alter the email address, turn on email notifications in case you get comments for your wireframe projects, and modify the password.

User-friendly layout

The utility gives you the freedom to create and personalize mockups which are fully clickable. Its minimalist and well-structured GUI helps you keep track of all your projects and work with a series of advanced editing parameters without feeling too overwhelmed and tired at the end of the process.
MockFlow also offers a dashboard with information about the total number of projects, projects owned by you or shared by others, and public ones. In addition, it reveals the number of projects that are in progress, completed or archived. You can add a custom label to the list as well.

Creating a new project

The application lets you build up a project from scratch or edit several templates and predefined layouts. You may zoom in or out of your mockup, hide or show the rulers, toggle annotations, conceal the sidebar which implements several configuration settings, enable the review mode where you can navigate and analyze each page, as well as switch to a full screen view.

Editing capabilities

When it comes to object editing features, you may align, duplicate, cut, copy, paste or delete them, lock certain objects, as well as send objects to the front or back.

The application gives you the possibility to alter the text font and preview each font, as well as visit the Mockup Store and download additional templates, components, bundles, and layouts.
Last but not least, you can check out a list with all pictures included in a project, visualize a site’s map and hover on nodes in order to interact (you may add, delete or duplicate nodes), compare two pages and view the differences between them, work on a whiteboard and use different colored markers for expressing your ideas, as well as take snapshots from different websites.

Exporting options

You may share your projects with other users by generating a public URL, save multiple pages to PDF file format, export data as high-quality PNG image files, export text from callouts to Word files, convert sitemap data to Excel files, save the entire project to HTML file format, generate PPT items, as well as place multiple pages together in a single view.

An overall powerful and reliable mockup designer

All in all, MockFlow comes with a powerful and interactive feature pack for helping you define website wireframes, more specifically mockups which are used for organizing a site’s content and structure.
The free version put to the test has some limitations, as you can work with a single designer license, one project in each app, 2 co-editors per project, 1GB of cloud storage, and some other project restrictions.
