Month Calendar

Designed for the Yahoo! Widget Engine, Month Calendar is a lightweight app that displays a calendar on your desktop. But it includes some other interesting features, such as memos. It can be easily installed and configured, even by less experienced users.
The interface of the widget is based on a small frame where you can view the calendar; it is possible to move it to any position on the screen.
So, you can double-click any date, in order to write a memo. By opening the context-menu, you may backup memos and open the memo folder.
From the 'Widget Preferences' area, you can make Month Calendar automatically open the current day's memo when it has content, as well as specify the number of memo lines in the tooltips. All settings can be saved to file.
Additionally, you can configure settings for the background (e.g. type, color, month arrows display, iCalendar events, memo text background color), markers (e.g. opacity, size, offset) and colors (e.g. month heading, text, Saturday and Sunday colors).
Other features of Month Calendar let you log error messages to file, modify font properties (e.g. memo font size, text font), allow oversize settings, suppress frames, change the default speech memo hotkey, just to name a few.
The small app uses a low amount of CPU and system memory, has a good response time and includes a help file. We have not come across any issues during our tests, since Month Calendar did not freeze, crash or pop up error dialogs. Thanks to its intuitive layout and overall simplicity, Month Calendar's features can be easily figured out by users of any level of experience.
