Moon Phase II Description
Moon Phase II is a lightweight Yahoo! widget built specifically for helping you view and monitor the moon phases right from your screen.
It boasts a clean and straightforward layout that allows you to perform most operations with just a few clicks.
Moon Phase II provides information about the moon, such as current position, phase, age, distance, sunrise and sunset time, and other details.
The gadget lets you enter the latitude and longitude coordinates for your location, use the computer clock, as well as pick the moon positional info, topocentric (displays the moon position relative to your geographic location) or geocentric (data related to the center of the earth).
You can also adjust the moon size, rotate the image to different angles, alter the shadow, and show the date/time and age information whenever you hover the mouse cursor on the widget’s icon.
Other options offered by the Yahoo! environment are represented by the possibility to prevent the windows from being dragged, set the opacity level, and ignore mouse events.
What’s more, you can hide or close the widget, and move it to any area of the desktop. Since it doesn’t comprise many configuration settings, even rookies can master the entire process with just a few clicks.
Although it hasn’t been updated for a while, Moon Phase II carries out a task quickly, and no errors showed up throughout the entire process. As it would be expected from such a small utility, it remains light on system resources, so it doesn’t hamper the overall performance of the computer, nor interfere with other programs’ functionality.
To sum things up, Moon Phase II offers a simple yet efficient software solution when it comes to helping you get information about the moon. It can be easily configured and installed by all types of users, regardless of their experience level.
