If you want to analyze and understand the details of your mortgage or of your loans, this software tool maybe able to help. This program first acts as a mortgage calculator. You can save different mortgages and loans as well, so you can then compare them or refer to them later. There are a wide range of features and data. You can enter the standard loan information like loan start date, loan amount, interest rate, and the length or term. You can also entered advanced features if you want like changing the compound rate from monthly to weekly or the cycle time (how often payments are made). The best feature of this program, however, is probably the ability to edit a loan once it is entered. You can select edit payments and change the value of any payment over the course of the mortgage. The software will then recalculate the rest of the loan so you can see the impact and results of the changes. You could show a missed payment, an extra payment, additional payments, and then see how they alter your loan. Its a great way to try and pay off your loan or mortgage early. You can add in a few extra dollars a month and see how much earlier you will pay it off. On the main screen Remaining Loan and Payoff Date are both tracked so you can monitor where you are. One thing to keep in mind is that the results of this program will likely differ some from your lender. Any final payments or payoffs should be discussed with them.
