Morz Easy Clipboard Description
A pretty basic Windows feature, which can’t even be seen, is used on a daily basis to temporarily store a copy of files and text. The feature in question is the clipboard, and developers came out with an abundance of enhancements. For instance, Morz Easy Clipboard extends the number of slots for a lot more comfort when handling text.
Different way of copying text
After a short and uneventful setup process, you can take the application for a spin to see what it’s all about. There’s the possibility to have it launched right after setup ends in order to save some time. It shows up in a custom-made interface, which doesn’t keep you busy getting to know its set of features, with all options in plain sight.
One thing you need to get used to if you prefer this application as a clipboard enhancement is the copy operation. You’re able to use the conventional Ctrl + C hotkey, but the selected string is not saved inside the program. What you need to do is drag and drop the selected string over the main window. Luckily, the window sits on top of all others so you don’t lose focus by accident.
Good, but far from being a pro
The application is only capable of storing text. You can store multiple items, and each one is shown on a line fitted with a different color for easy identification in a large list. Sadly, there’s no possibility to save all entries as a text document, or have all of them displayed in the preview section in case you want to paste more entries at a time.
Selecting an entry displays its content in an editable text field so you can make minor adjustments. However, sending it to the actual clipboard needs to be done through the dedicated “copy†button, with no easier way. When minimized, the window goes to the taskbar, and it would have been useful to be able to send it to the tray area and bring it back up through a hotkey command.
To sum it up
In conclusion, Morz Easy Clipboard delivers both a bit of good and a bit of bad. On the one hand, multiple items can be stored, and formatting options are removed from copied text. On the other hand, it can take some accommodation time, while it can get a bit of frustrating to use interface buttons to copy the string you need.
