Mp3 Slave Description
There’s a high chance you prefer to listen to your songs offline, in your own, configured audio player. Even Windows comes with built-in tools to make this possible, but you might also be looking for something simple, yet effective. In this regard, Mp3 Slave comes with a straightforward design and clever capabilities.
Start off by selecting files to play
First, you need to go through a setup process to ensure the proper functionality of the application. However, it’s a good idea to make sure that .NET Framework is already on your computer. On first launch, you need to select the folder where audio files are located to quickly get started. Note that all files need to be in a single folder.
By default, the application only shows up as a simple, yet intuitive control bar fitted with buttons to go back and forth through files, play, stop, and pause. Sadly, there’s no progress slider to easily navigate through content, and there’s no info section to display length of content.
Playback diversity through shuffle and repeat
Don’t be fooled by the straightforward set of controls, because the application is not devoid of any options. Bringing up the context menu makes it possible to show the playlist, which is also a compact part of the application. Items are shown by name. You can’t load any more items here, unless you add them to the folder and refresh the source location.
The application comes with a few additional options. It can be set to stay on top of everything else, which isn’t really an inconvenience, given the size of the window. The entire playlist can be repeated, and you can also enable the shuffle function for better diversity.
In conclusion
All things considered, we can state that Mp3 Slave might not look or feel like a fully-fledged audio player, but it’s got what it takes to make your day feel a little better. The slim interface can be an advantage, despite its size, and the list of functions makes sure you don’t learn the playlist by heart.
