MP3CDburner is a software tool that can be used in order to burn MP3 files to CDs, with just a few clicks.
The installation process does not offer to download or add other products that are not necessary for this program to properly function, and it is over in just a few seconds. The interface boasts a minimal and intuitive design, which means that anybody can find their way around it, regardless of their previous experience with computers. It comprises only a few buttons and a panel to display all added items.
As the name clearly hints at, this software utility only supports MP3 files, and lack of additional support can be considered as a small setback. It is possible to upload audio tracks only by using the built-in file browser, as the “drag and drop function” is not integrated. This is another drawback, as it could have helped individuals manage the songs they want to burn in a more efficient manner.
All added items are displayed in the main window along with details such as path, size (expressed in MB) and status. Each time a new audio file is uploaded, a bar will indicate the amount of space left on the CD (650MB or 700MB discs).
Once all these configurations are set, you are just required to click the “Burn” button and let the app do the rest. This process is not quite friendly to your system’s resources, as it uses quite a large amount of CPU and memory, yet this is to be expected from this type of program.
All in all, MP3CDburner proves to a pretty decent piece of software, which enables you to burn MP3 files to CDs, with a fairly good response time and an intuitive environment. Nonetheless, power users might find it a bit too simple.
