MultiMonitorTool Description
MultiMonitorTool is a software utility which, as the name hints at, helps you manage your multi-monitor system in a more efficient manner.
This tool does not require you to install it, as it is portable. This also means that the Windows registry is not going to be affected by it, and that there will be no leftover files upon its removal.
Aside from that, you can use MultiMonitorTool on any computer you have access to, by simply dropping the program files to a portable storage unit (e.g. USB flash drive). You can also copy the last mentioned files to any location on the hard drive, and run the app from there, by simply clicking the executable.
The interface is pretty simple and sports a minimal design. The main window is split in two panels: one enables you to view all the monitor connected, while the other shows you all the processes displayed in the selected monitor.
The first one contains details such as monitor resolution, colors, frequency, orientation, maximum resolution, adapter, device ID and key and name, while the latter shows information such as position on screen, window size, state, process name and path.
With this software utility, you can easily enable or disable particular monitors, set others as primary or activate maximum resolution. It is also possible to move windows to the next or primary monitor, with just a few buttons.
You can generate HTML reports, view properties regarding each window or save them to the hard drive as TXT, CSV, HTML or XML files. It is also possible to save the monitor configuration settings in a CFG format, so as to use it at a later date.
Taking everything into consideration, we can safely say MultiMonitorTool is a handy tool and a good choice for people interested in managing their multi-monitor systems more efficiently.
