MyTrans is a software tool whose purpose is to provide users with a simple means of sending and receiving files to and from other computers, as well as view your IP address.

The interface is quite minimal, seeing it is only comprised of several panes in which you can view various information, as well as a few buttons. This means that all types of users can easily find their way around it, including those less experienced when it comes to computers.

Sending and receiving items, and view your IP

In order to send items to a particular person, all you have to do is enter his IP address or host name in a dedicated pane, select the items you want to process and click the appropriately-named button. It is also possible to receive items, while all items currently being processed (downloads or uploads) can be viewed in the main window as a list, along with file path, host IP, size and progress.
Last but not least, it is possible to add a port redirection to router, as well as remove it, and bring up your local and external IP addresses in a new window, with just a click of the button.

Performance and conclusion

It does not burden the system’s performance, as it does not require a large amount of resources in order to run properly. All tasks are going to be performed in a timely fashion and we did not detect any hangs or freezes in our tests.
All in all, MyTrans is a pretty handy software solution which enables you to send and receive files in an easy manner, and encompasses a minimalistic interface.
