.NET Shutdown Manager

.NET Shutdown Manager is a lightweight and portable software application that can schedule the computer to power off after a specific time interval. It includes just some basic options that can be easily figured out by anyone, regardless of previous experience in computer software.
Since installation is not necessary, you can place the executable file anywhere on the disk and just click it to run.
There is also the possibility of saving .NET Shutdown Manager to a USB flash disk or similar storage unit, in order to run it on any PC effortlessly, without installing anything beforehand.
An important factor to take into account is that the Windows registry does not get updated with new keys, and no extra files are created on the HDD, leaving it clean after removal.
The interface is represented by a normal window with a regular layout, where you can specify after how long you want the PC to run off (in hours and minutes). All running apps can be set to exit at shutdown. The frame stays on top of other windows.
There is also the option to restart the computer instead of shutting it off completely. Apart the fact that you can toggle the UI language between English and German, there are no other notable features available.
.NET Shutdown Manager is very low-demanding when it comes to CPU and RAM, so its impact on PC performance is minimal. We have not come across any problems throughout our evaluation, since the tool did not freeze, crash or display error messages. It minimizes to the system tray area, so it becomes non-intrusive.
Although it is not particularly resourceful, .NET Shutdown Manager offers a simple solution to scheduling the PC to power off after a specific time frame, and it can be used by anyone.
