NetTweak Pro has been created as a simple solution for optimizing Internet connectivity without investing too much effort.
All the options are wrapped up in a simple interface that is straightforward and intuitive. The main screen presents options for selecting the desired values for MTU (Maximum Transmission Unit), RWIN (Receive Window) and TTL (time-to-live).
The program provides the possibility to choose from the default value available in the operating system and a recommended one. There is also the option to customize it.
The tweaks apply for multiple connection types as the product can work with dial-up, cable modem, LAN, WAN, DSL, broadband, ISDN, satellite, T1 along with other types of connection.
For each of them there is a preset configuration that can be enabled with a single click and for the changes to take effect a computer restart is required.
Should none of the modifications show bring to the table the desired improvements there is the possibility to revert everything to the original configuration provided in Windows by default.
The application features a section for more advanced users where various network-related settings, such as turning on MTU auto discovery, dead gateway or black hole detection, can be done. In some cases the developer weighs in with recommendations for the best configuration. A special area is reserved for increasing the overall speed of a modem.
