Network Clipboard

The Internet offers a whole variety of applications that you could use as an alternative to the default Notepad application on Windows computers. One of them is Network Clipboard.
It's a useful software solution that's similar to Notepad, but comes with some encryption features and the option to use TCP/IP tools.

Small and straightforward graphical interface

The application sports a really intuitive graphical interface, with a simple design and a layout that makes it easy to access all sort of sections.
It doesn't have any customization options, although it would have been nice if it came with the option to change the background color or apply a new theme. Such a feature would have definitely made the application stand out from the crowd.

Create documents easily

You simply need to start typing in the main window, in order to create a new document. It displays the current time and date, but it's not visible since the window border is ill-placed. It lets you copy and paste certain sections of the text and it doesn't come with any character limitation, which is quite nice.
You can also use it to open and edit text documents saved on your computer. Unfortunately, it doesn't come with any text formatting tools, not even the option to change the font style, size or color.

Use TCP/IP tools

Still, you can use the application to connect to remote servers, simply enter the IP address for the server, the port, adjust the timeout and pick a path to save messages.
You can encrypt data that's being saved by using a password that only you know. It doesn't come with any password recovery tools, so make sure you remember the password.
You can view a log of all actions taken inside the application and it allows you to save documents when you're done working. All in all, Network Clipboard is a small but useful application for creating text documents and using TCP/IP tools to connect to a server.
