Network Watcher Description
Network Watcher is a lightweight software application whose purpose is to help you keep an eye on your network activity and monitor it with the aid of graphs and statistics.
The advantages of being portable
Since this is a portable program, it is important to mention that it doesn’t leave any traces in the Windows Registry.
You can copy it on any USB flash drive or other devices, and take it with you whenever you need to monitor your network activity on the breeze, without having to go through installation steps.
Intuitive layout
By default, when you run the utility for the first time, you are welcomed a small window that displays all running processes detected on your system. There’s also a button embedded in the minimalistic panel for helping you end the current process on the fly.
When activating the “More details†feature, the program reveals several configuration settings to experiment with.
Main features
Network Watcher gives you the possibility to view extra information about each running process, such as name, PID, local address, foreign address, state, and path. Additionally, you are allowed to open the file location for the selected item, perform an online search via your web browser about the current process, as well as terminate the process.
What’s more, the graph function displays data about the sent and received packets in real-time, while the statistics area provides details about the total number of received and sent bytes. Last but not least, you may customize the looks of the application by switching between the light or dark theme and make the tool show only Internet connections.
Bottom line
To sum it up, Network Watcher proves to be a simple-to-configure tool that comes packed with several handy features, and is suitable especially for rookies.
