New Video Splitter Description
As the name of this software implies, New Video Splitter allows you to cut video clips of various formats, including AVI, MPG, WMV, ASF, VOB and RM.
The interface of the application is plain and simple to navigate through. Video files can be imported into the list by using the file browser only, because the "drag and drop" method is not supported. Batch processing is not possible.
So, all you have to do is specify the output destination and splitting time (e.g. by specifying the start and end position, into equal-sized parts), in order to proceed with the task.
Furthermore, you can preview clips in a built-in media player, convert videos to other extensions (e.g. AVI, MPEG, DVD, WMV) and configure audio and video settings when it comes to the size, frame rate, resize mode, compression level, and others.
The simple-to-use program takes up a moderate amount of system resources, has a good response time, quickly finishes a task and manages to preserve a good image and sound quality after conversion. No errors have occurred during our tests and New Video Splitter did not freeze or crash.
There's also a well-drawn help file with snapshots that you can look into. On the other hand, the interface is outdated and you cannot modify the program's behavior (e.g. enable New Video Splitter to minimize to the system tray). Nevertheless, we strongly recommend New Video Splitter to all users.
