NFOView Description

NFOView is a command-line application that enables users to view files with the NFO format, including ASCII art. It is very simple to work with, as it does not come packed with configuration options.
While most users prefer graphical interfaces for carrying out a task, some of them would rather work with the command-line console, since a few inputted lines are usually enough to get the job done in no time.
NFOView does not require installation, so it can be run from any location on the hard drive. Plus, you can save it to a USB flash disk or similar storage unit, in order to run it on any machine with minimum effort.
An important aspect to take into account is that the Windows registry is not updated with new entries, and NFOView does not add extra files to the HDD, leaving it clean after removal.
All you have to do is call the NFOView.exe process from a Command Prompt dialog, as well as write the name of the NFO file you want to view. Keep in mind the file must be placed in the same location as the program.
As expected, NFOView does not put a strain on system resources, since it runs on a minimal amount of CPU and RAM. It has a good response time and works well on newer operating systems, even if it has not been updated for a very long time. All in all, NFOView serves its purpose.
