Notepad Minus is an ultrasimplistic text editor designed as a stripped down version of the classical Windows Notepad. It has a basic working environment for writing text and doesn't contain any options or configuration settings, not even a save feature.
This kind of program is ideal for taking notes, leaving comments, keeping track of upcoming events or anything else that has to be written on the spot.

The software tool's wrapped in just one executable file that can be saved anywhere on the disk or stored on an external storage unit (like a pen drive) to directly deploy Notepad Minus on any computer without setup.

As far as the interface is concerned, Notepad Minus opts for a small window with a minimalistic appearance, where you can type or paste text from the Clipboard.
It's also possible to cut, copy, paste and delete content while keeping in mind that text is discarded when exiting the tool. Therefore, you can use the written text only throughout a single session of the program.

Evaluation and conclusion

As we expected, Notepad Minus was barely noticeable concerning CPU and RAM consumption in our tests, so it didn't hamper the computer's performance or affect other running tools. It stayed stable throughout its runtime, without hanging, crashing or prompting errors. The utility didn't have compatibility issues either.
To sum it up, the software tool offers a simple and straightforward solution for writing tasks, todo lists, notes, memos and other types of text in a distraction-free environment without additional options or customization properties.
