NovaPlayer Description
There’s a pretty high chance you want to keep your music collection stored on your computer. This allows easy management of playlists, as well as instant playback, task which is accomplished by your preferred player. In case you’re looking for an alternative to what you’re already using, then NovaPlayer can be a suitable choice.
Clean, intuitive visual design
On the bright side of things, you can see if it’s the player you’re looking for as soon as download is done, because you don’t have to go through a setup process to make it work. This enables it to be your personal player, and even to carry it and a few songs with you on a thumb drive to always have something to listen to on the go.
The visual design might not manage to impress, at least not through any particular elements to make it stand out from the crowd. Functions, buttons, and indicators all rely on classic window frames and elements, but this only prevents you from spending extra time in the accommodation process.
Can only play MP3 files
As far as file support goes, you might end up a little disappointed, because the application can only read MP3 files. On the other hand, you can easily import entire M3U playlist if they’re already on your computer. You can even save new ones if you decide to create a playlist with this application.
Playback controls count only as basics, with an extra function to pick songs at random from the playlist. You can add multiple items to the list either through a drag and drop operation, or using multiple selection in the browse dialog. On the downside, the volume slider affects system volume directly, while playback controls can’t be handled through hotkeys or a multimedia keyboard.
In conclusion
To sum up, NovaPlayer doesn’t quite manage to deliver the expected set of features. However, it does enable clean, simple playback of MP3 files, and makes it pretty easy to use, or create new playlists.
