NRG2CUE generator

NRG2CUE generator is a free and open-source console application you can use to generate CUE files from NRG images. It offers support for NRG v1 and v2, and gives you the possibility to carry out a task with as little effort as possible.

Easily convert NRG to CUE files

At startup, you're welcomed by the classical file browser that asks you to locate and open the NRG image file you're trying to convert.
The new CUE file is automatically created in the same directory as the source NRG, and this option cannot be changed. It preserves the same filename too.
In the following step, you can mount the CUE file to verify results and find out whether or not the task was successful. If you encounter any errors or if there's no data displayed, you can try enabling all emulation options to fix these issues.

No installation required

There is no setup pack involved, which makes the tool portable. The downloaded files can be saved anywhere on the hard drive or copied to a removable storage device to launch NRG2CUE generator on any PC by double-clicking the .exe or calling its process from a Command Prompt dialog.
It doesn't need libraries or components to run, create files on the disk without your knowledge, or modify system registry settings. The source code is also available in the downloaded package and can be examined by programmers or those interested in coding.

Evaluation and conclusion

Image files were quickly converted in our tests, during which the program remained light on system resources consumption. No error dialogs popped up and the app didn't hang or crash.
Although it doesn't have additional options, such as specifying a custom output folder, NRG2CUE generator provides you with a straightforward and speedy method for converting NRG images to CUE files.
