NTFS Recovery Toolkit Description

Larger storage capacities don’t necessarily mean less management. On the contrary, you might want to organize your disk drive in multiple partitions, or attempt to recover lost items because of accidental removal or corruption. Reasons can differ, but if it’s recovery and management operations you need, NTFS Recovery Toolkit might just be able to help out.

Includes a set of management and recovery tools

The application doesn’t take a lot of time to install and by the end of the process you get to benefit not from one, but four different tools. This is because it’s only a suite of recovery and management tools, which includes Active@ Disk Editor, Active@ File Recovery for Windows, Active@ Partition Manager, and Active@ Partition Recovery.
These tools make it possible to perform both management, and recovery operations on NTFS and FAT32 file systems. Target drives can be either removable or fixed, with freshly plugged in devices detected in a jiffy.

Individual, intuitive components

Management of a disk initially puts you up against a simple navigator at first so you can easily browse to the location of the volume, or folder you wish to edit. Once located, several editing options become available, such as a HEX editor with group highlighting to make identification of sectors easier, as well as a boot records editor. Different details can be gathered even on hardware components, which you can save as log files.
To recover lost files a scan needs to be initiated first. It can take a while, depending on the disk health status, and size. In case files are recently lost, a quick scan can do the trick, but you can also opt for an in-depth sweep in an attempt to find anything of interest. You can narrow down results through filters and a search tool.
The partition manager is used to neatly organize your total disk space in volumes. Hardware info can be gathered first, and saved to file. A built-in wizard is there to help you easily set up new partitions. You can also take matters into your own hands, and if something goes wrong there’s always the option to rollback partition changes.
Similar to the file recovery tool, the component dedicated to partitions attempts to recover entire drives and their exact state. Related operations allow you to delete invalid partitions to minimize the risk of any future errors, convert partition styles, fix boot sectors, and more.

A few last words

To sum it up, NTFS Recovery Toolkit manages to live up to expectations, coming with a set of powerful management and recovery options for both files and entire drives. Most are fitted with a wizard configuration to quickly get you up and running. Powerful scanners can look for recently lost files, and long-gone ones, with high chances to bringing them back.
