NumCapsScroll Indicator Description
NumCapsScroll Indicator is a lightweight desktop enhancement application designed with a single goal in mind: to indicate and change the status of the “Num Lock,†“Caps Lock,†and “Scroll Lock†keys.
It comes in handy especially for laptops that don’t offer support for the aforementioned keys, as the tool lets you enable or disable them with just a few clicks.
Since this is a portable program, it is important to mention that it doesn’t leave any traces in the Windows Registry.
You can copy it on any USB flash drive or other devices, and take it with you whenever you need to check if certain keys are activated on the breeze, without having to go thorough installation steps.
The user interface is intuitive enough to understand its functions without having to consult the help manual.
NumCapsScroll Indicator runs quietly in the notification area until called upon when it reveals a few configuration settings to tinker with.
The application places a small pane on your screen indicating the status of the three keys (“Num Lock,†“Caps Lock,†and “Scroll Lockâ€), and lets you move it to any area of the desktop.
What’s more, you can make the tool run at Windows startup, play sound notifications when the keys are activated or disabled, as well as remain on top of other utilities, and this proves to be pretty useful especially when working with multiple programs at the same time.
You don’t need special computer skills to work with NumCapsScroll Indicator, and even rookies can set up the dedicated parameters with minimum effort.
During our testing we have noticed that the app carries out a task very quickly and without errors throughout the entire process. As it would be expected from such a small utility, it doesn’t stress up the CPU and memory, so the overall system performance is not hampered.
All in all, NumCapsScroll Indicator seems to be the right choice in case you are looking for an easy-to-use tool that comes packed with only a few configuration settings.
