NuoDB

NuoDB is a peer to peer system that ensures a main memory database that contains atomicity, consistency, isolation and durability transactions. It was designed as a flexible database system that could provide developers with a scalable environment for their applications. Having its architecture based on a reliable distributed cache that provides in-memory access to data, it will allow the creation of complex databases.
Being deployed as a distributed cloud database management system, NuoDB will offer people a solid implementation of structured query language protocol. Accessible through a Web-browser interface, it will offer complete support for transactions. With Java as one of its main prerequisites, this utility will be installed as a series of hosts that comprise a domain.
One will be able to define multiple databases, which will be based on some of the following NuoDB processes: brokers (manage transaction engines and storage managers), agents (maintain NuoDB processes that are running on specific hosts and are linked with the brokers), transaction engines (provide access to a single database through SQL processing) and store managers (read and write transacted data).
Users will be able to control the application through the means of a client console, which will work in a two step sequence: first, it will request and receive information from the aforementioned NuoDB broker and second, it will connect to the transaction engines, in accordance with the information received from the broker.
The application will provide people with database templates that emphasize scalability, availability and redundancy requirements. However, experienced users can, at any given time, customize their template.System requirementsJava 1.7 or later.
