Opera BackupX

Clear-cut GUI for creating Opera backups

The interface is user-friendly, represented by a small rectangular window split into three panes for separately backing up objects, restoring backups, and customizing preferences.
It's possible to make a copy of the Opera bookmarks, notes, contacts, "Wand", sessions, preferences, search, cookies, downloads and toolbars. You can make a combination out of any of all these objects.
A button for selecting and deselecting all entries is available. After indicating a directory in a local, network or removable location, you can start the backup operation with the click of a button.

Restore backup items and configure settings

Similar rules apply to the restoration step, where it's possible to pick the backup destination and select the items to extract. An important aspect is that you can restore only specific objects, without having to take into account the whole backup file.
When it comes to the general preferences of Opera BackupX, you can set a background picture, make the frame stay on top of other windows, minimize it to the systray and hide the icon, as well as change the default Opera profile and user (all users or current user).

No setup required, besides .NET Framework

The entire program's packed in a single .exe file that can be saved anywhere on the disk or copied to a removable storage unit, in order to launch it on any computer with as little effort as possible. Backup and restore jobs were carried out fast in our tests, during which Opera BackupX remained light on system resources consumption. Too bad that it hasn't received updates for a long time. Otherwise, it offers a simple and straightforward solution for backing up and restoring various Opera items.
