As far as the advanced options are concerned, the program allows you to rename or delete duplicates and whether you are interested in extracting attachments with a certain file extension.
While the latter function might seem simplistic, the truth is that it can be quite handy when you are looking for a specific file you are expecting from your office or a business partner for instance.
It is necessary to mention that while you can preview the attachments, you still need to search for the email that contained them via Outlook. It would have been nice if the program created a link or path to the emails they are extracted from.

An overall simplistic, but efficient tool

Even though it does not impress in terms of options or file management, Outlook Attachment Extractor can be useful for Outlook users in multiple situations.
