Oxford English-Russian Dictionary Description
If you want to brush up on your Russian language skills, then you require appropriate tools. Oxford English-Russian Dictionary is a program that includes an English-Russian and Russian-English dictionary for all interested users.
The interface of the application is clean and pretty intuitive. You can view a list of contents with words in the English dictionary along with their descriptions on the right side. The app also includes a speech tool, so you can find out how words and expressions are pronounced.
So, you can use a search function and set words as bookmarks. But you can also search text by using wildcards, find similar words, check out a list of irregular verbs and start a quiz.
Additionally, you can find out word forms, add cards, as well as use the cut, copy, paste and print functions. Also, you can manage dictionaries and a catalog (e.g. set the translation direction), as well as create an article.
From the "Settings" area you can adjust the font size, configure pop-up translation settings (e.g. activate by hovering over a word with a mouse), change the interface language, disable automatic startup and set Oxford English-Russian Dictionary to minimize to the system tray.
The tool runs on a moderate amount of system resources, has a good response time and includes user documentation. We have not come across any issues throughout our testing; Oxford English-Russian Dictionary did not freeze, crash or pop up error dialogs. No recent updates have been made to the app.
