P2P VoIp gives you the possibility to chat with your LAN friends or coworkers, using a microphone and their IP address. The application can help you communicate with your LAN contacts and it does not require a server in order to connect you with them.
Each contact can be saved by entering its name and IP address, as the application will directly connect to the address provided. Furthermore, you can set the application to automatically start in System Tray, so that you will be able to instantly receive calls as soon as you start your computer.
In addition, you have the option to change your default microphone and speakers, so that you will be able to choose the ones that output high quality sounds over those provided by your system. Because the application runs in your local network, the voice packages are sent as a GSM6.10 format. These packages are received and sent back using the same port, which is represented by the UDP 4444 port.
The application is able to detect if a contact is online or offline, by checking the connection and responsiveness of its corresponding IP address. This way, you can know when someone is able to take your call, is offline or is away from its computer.
P2P VoIp allows you to communicate with multiple contacts at once, supporting a maximum of five connections. This allows you to hold small conferences and talk with all your coworkers or friends at once.
The sound mixer or the application allows you to adjust various sound volumes, as you can easily increase the sound of your microphone or speakers. By doing so, you are able to tone down your speakers or microphone volume, in case that the noise gets too high. You can also mute your speakers and microphone anytime.
