Paessler Card Packet Counter Description
The Paessler Card Packet Counter application was designed to be a small tool that shows live stats and a short term statistical history about the network data packets and streams passing a local network card. Using the Packet Sniffing Engine of PRTG Network Monitor it looks at all network packets that pass a specific network card.
Tab "Statistics": The tool counts the number of packets passing the network card and calculates the current bandwidth as well as the average packet size. For the last 20 minutes these stats are shown in a graph.
Tab "Streams": Every few seconds the list is updated with all current IP data streams going through the network card
