PAFreshney Periodic Table

Regardless of whether you are preparing for an exam, medicine school admittance or you are studying chemistry in college, you cannot go far without knowing the Periodic Table.
As it is suggested by its name, PAFreshney Periodic Table is a comprehensive application that includes Mendeleev's Table along with numerous formulas and data about the elements.

Old-fashioned, but complete interface

The interface comprises of the main window and includes 2 panels, one of the left that includes 7 tabs with various useful information and the pane of the right where you can access the biographies of famous chemists and a glossary of the terms used in chemistry.
As you probably expect, the app features the complete periodic table in a neat colorful display and you can preview pictures of the elements you hoover the mouse over. You can also view images of the element as you are likely to find them in nature by accessing the Image tab.
Lastly, it is necessary to mention that the program includes dozens of documents where you can learn more about the topics such as actinoid group, the halogens series or the abundance of elements in the solar system.

Includes formulas, graphs and interactive diagrams

In addition to the classic information, the program also allows you to preview the formulas for individual elements and compounds from the Toolbox tab. By accessing the Atomic tab, you can view their electronic configuration exhibited in an interactive diagram.
At the same time, you can select a property and view a detailed graphic of its distribution within the elements that are part of a certain group or for all them. You can click the graph to preview more data about a certain element in the right panel. Then again, it would be nice if the app allowed you to make calculations as well.

Given the amount of data available along with formulas and compounds, PAFreshney Periodic Table can surely come in handy when you are working on a medical paper or studying for an exam.
