PageNotes Description
PageNotes is a lightweight software application built specifically for helping you store your bookmarks in a clean and intuitive working environment.
The advantages of being portable
Since this is a portable program, it is important to mention that it doesn’t leave any traces in the Windows Registry.
You can copy it on any USB flash drive or other devices, and take it with you whenever you need to save bookmarks on the breeze, without having to go through installation steps.
User-friendly interface
PageNotes sports a clean and simple layout that offers only some basic functions to tinker with. You can insert links using Copy and Paste functions, so you cannot rely on “drag and drop†operations. Everything is kept as simple and clean as possible, so even rookies can configure the dedicated parameters with minimal effort.
Basic functions
The program gives you the possibility to add multiple links to the list, use hotkeys for a better control over the entire process (they cannot be reassigned), remove the selected URL, as well as clear the entire list with just one click.
What’s more, you can insert additional notes about each bookmark, copy to the clipboard the link or note, or both of them, and refresh the current information.
Another notable characteristic worth mentioning is represented by the possibility to save all your bookmarks to HTML file format and access them via a web browser-driven interface. The program displays the notes and with just one click on one of them, it opens it in a separate window.
Last but not least, you may open the selected URLs with your web browser on the go. During our testing we have noticed that PageNotes carries out a task quickly and without hampering your system performance.
Bottom line
To sum things up, PageNotes offers a handy yet efficient software solution for helping you manage your bookmarks. It comprises basic functions which make it an ideal app for rookies. However, it would have been useful to see support for sorting, organizing, and searching options.
