Password Generator

Password Generator is a tiny and portable application that you can use to generate secure passwords by specifying conditions. It's useful for creating random and powerful keys you can use to protect your important data, such as email accounts and wireless network connections.

Portable tool with a simple interface

Packed in a single .exe file, the program can be saved to a custom directory on the hard disk or moved to a USB flash drive, in order to seamlessly launch it on any computer, knowing that you don't have to install anything beforehand.
Moreover, it doesn't update the Windows registry with new entries, need any DLLs to run, or create other files on the disk without asking for your permission.
Judging by its interface, Password Generator is clearly outdated. Its main panel has a small size and rudimentary look which takes us back to Windows XP.

Set the password complexity and configure settings

On the other hand, it takes a slightly unusual approach toward customizing the password complexity. Instead of setting numerical values for the key length, you can move a slider to create passwords with up to 20 characters.
In a similar fashion, it's possible to include or exclude uppercase and lowercase letters, in addition to numbers and special symbols. Before generating the keys, you can tell the app how many distinct passwords you need.

Generate and save passwords

These are listed immediately, and they can be selected and copied to the Clipboard with just a couple of clicks. Otherwise, all keys can be saved to plain text documents (TXT format) by indicating the destination directory and filename.
As far as program settings are concerned, you can customize the special symbols to use, prevent the tool from saving the date, as well as set the delimiter when saving text documents.

Evaluation and conclusion

Although it hasn't been updated for a long time, it worked smoothly on newer Windows in our tests, without hanging, crashing or showing errors. Password Generator can be handled by all user levels.
