PC Actions Description
There are various default Windows actions which can be automated, but it can take quite the time and effort to do so through built-in features. On the bright side of things, developers came up with simple solutions to even shut down the PC when away, and a suitable example in this regard is PC Actions.
Set multiple actions at a time
One cool advantage here is the lack of a setup process to keep you busy, giving you a chance to quickly check out the application’s set of features. More than that, it allows you to have it stored on a USB flash drive and used on other computers as your personal launcher and shutdown manager.
The window offers a list of most actions you can select, with the possibility to have multiple things accomplished at a time. When configured, you can minimize it to the tray area and go on with your tasks. There are two types of actions, namely those which activate computer power options, as well as a set of functions to run programs, open folders, and a few more.
Trigger power options and extra actions
Power options you can trigger are quite impressive, and manage to include logoff, suspend, lock, hibernate, restart, as well as shutdown. Additionally, you can choose to run a custom program, open a folder, access a web page of choice, or close a program based on its name and extension. Multiple actions can be selected at a time.
Regardless of choice, a time value needs to be configured. Unfortunately, only a set of actions are set at a time, without the possibility to have multiple profiles active, or even created and saved. Note that it doesn’t start with Windows, but this can be manually performed by adding a shortcut inside the system Startup folder.
On an ending note
In conclusion, PC Actions delivers a useful set of actions to configure and have triggered even if you’re away from the keyboard. The only downside to the whole operation is the lack of support for multiple profiles, but this way you have better control of what actions get triggered, and when.
