PC Mark Description
With the help of PC Mark 2002 you can run a benchmark on your computer's hardware to test the abilities of your CPU, memory and hard drive. It is quite simple to work with, as it doesn't leave much room for configuration.
The interface of the tool is based on a single window with a well-organized layout, where you can start a test with the simple click of a button.
During this time, you are required to drop normal activity and do not move the mouse cursor or trigger commands on the keyboard, as PC Mark 2002 will not be able to carry out a complete and accurate benchmark.
When the test is completed you can check out scores for the CPU, memory and HDD. Results can be saved to file (XML format) for further scrutiny.
In addition, it is possible to view in-depth system information regarding CPU, DirectX, display devices, memory, motherboard, monitor, power supply, operating system, and hard disk.
PC Mark 2002 has a good response time and uses a pretty low amount of CPU and RAM. It takes a pretty long time to complete a benchmark, but it's comprehensive. No error dialogs have been shown throughout our evaluation, and the app did not hang or crash. Too bad that the free edition of PC Mark 2002 does not let you customize tests.
