Basically, the program can remove all types of encryptions set on a PDF file, such as owner passwords. It may also remove other limitations regarding the editing, copying and printing of the document.
The app supports batch processing, which means that you can add countless files to the queue. If you change your mind about any of the items, they can be removed individually. Alternatively, the entire list can be emptied.
You can also specify an output folder for the new file by browsing the directories. The new documents are renamed to include “_decrypted” along with the original file’s name.
The entire process doesn’t take very long, but it does depend on the number of PDFs in the batch. The app works with numerous types of PDF files and can unlock 40-bit and 128-bit encryptions. When the job is complete, the app displays a window that lets you know if the decryption was successful or not.
All in all, PDF Decrypter is a nice program, despite the fact that it’s not the most stable app in its category. Inexperienced users should find it easy to work with, thanks to the intuitive interface and overall simplicity.
