Those who rely on the FileMaker Pro suite for their work, could have difficulties in integrating its functionality with other external applications such as Adobe Acrobat.
In order to attain interoperability, they would require a tool that could allow them to perform a connection between the aforementioned applications, for handling PDF files.
PDF Manipulator DC is a plug-in that was developer in order to provide users with the means to exchange data between Adobe Acrobat and their installation of FileMaker Pro. It will allow them to manipulate PDF files from within FileMaker Pro and create an indexed document management system.
Since the application will allow people to handle PDF files much easier, this process will enhance the workflow involved when dealing with various text forms. One will be able to search for the text contained within PDF documents or even extract data from specific PDF form fields, all directly from FileMaker Pro’s interface.
In addition to extracting the preferred text contained in PDF documents, the plug-in will also allow people to obtain document metadata on demand. Migrating all the document contents and metadata in their databases, will help users search through their documents in an indexed fashion, therefore avoiding timely manual searches.
Automation is provided for text forms and one can insert or extract specific sections of data in / from PDF files, again saving time by eliminating a manual workflow.
