PDF Viewer Description
PDF Viewer is a simple-to-use software solution that allows you to view PDF files. There are many programs on the market that include a lot of advanced features, but PDF Viewer was not designed to be one of those since it features only a few options that allow you to view the content of your PDFs.
Although looks are not impressive as the user interface is minimalist, PDF Viewer bundles some useful features that can meet your PDF viewing requirements.
The app doesn't support the “drag and drop†feature so you have to add the files by browsing for them on the computer. Basic options for handling PDFs include saving or printing the files, zooming in or out and showing the previous or the next page.
Furthermore, it is possible to rotate the pages clockwise, change the selection tool, and to search in your documents for specific words or phrases. Additional options for more accurate finds includes the possibility to look for case-sensitive text; bookmarks or comments can also be included in the results.
On the downside, the app lacks support for the full screen mode.
More seasoned users may fiddle with some options for changing the properties of the document. You can add information about the files (title, author, subject, keywords), choose font style from a predefined list, and add custom properties (name, value).
The app didn't crash or freeze during our testing. It doesn't affect the overall computer performance, as it is light on system resources.
To sum up, PDF Viewer isn’t among the most powerful and flexible tools in its category but it can be used as an alternative PDF-viewing utility since it requires no installation.
