Phison GetInfo Description
Phison GetInfo is a small utility developed to help you extract a wide variety of information about your Flash drives, including string product name and the serial number.
Comes with a clean and user-friendly interface
While the installation is a swift and straightforward operation, you need to make sure that you have an adequate tool for decompressing the archive. The program comes with an intuitive and easy to navigate interface that is unlikely to confuse even first time users.
Functionality-wise, the application is as simple to use as it looks. Therefore, after you insert the Flash to one of the dedicated ports, you need to specify the current volume label for the USB drive and then hit the Read button. You should be able to view info about the VID, serial number, IC and FW versions, smart card info or AES, for instance, in a matter of seconds.
It can read data from ENC files as well
It is worth mentioning that the tool does not recognize all Flashes available on the market, case in which it displays an error message stating that it cannot read the volume. Consequentially, you need to make sure that the one you are analyzing features Phison firmware or embeds a Phison chip controller.
In the eventuality the Flash is corrupted and cannot be accessed, then you can attempt to extract the information you need by loading an ENC file that contains the aforementioned data.
In addition to the current configuration of the controller, the program displays extra info that you may find helpful, such as power consumption, capacity, writing protection status or whether or not the password is enabled, just to name a few of them.
A utility that can help you retrieve valuable info about USB drives
In case you need to include the USB drives used in the inventory, want to make sure that you have the latest firmware or you just want to check out the capacity, cluster size and similar data about the Flash sticks, then perhaps Phison GetInfo could come in handy.
