Photo Finder Description
There is one common thing you take from any place you visit while on vacation and that is at least a picture. Most of the time they all end up filling your hard disk drive and can sometimes become hard to find. Luckily, applications like Photo Finder give you the possibility to easily locate desired pictures from your computer.
Add tags to each photo
Launching the application brings up a compact user interface, fitted with a preview section and a couple of browsing fields. A search engine is provided so you might want to look for a specific photo that way. However, unless the picture has a comment no results are displayed.
It takes a little time to get to know exactly how to use the application if you don't read the provided help manual. The only way to find a desired item is manually browsing with the provided explorer. Finally coming across a photo gives you the possibility to add a tag so you easily find it later, but you still have to select the destination folder, otherwise no results are displayed.
A little rough around the edges
One of the biggest disappointments is that you are not able to fully view a selected photo unless you stretch the main window until you get the desired view, or hit the “Open Folder†button which is needless to say what it does.
What the application gives you access to is a complete set of info on the selected picture, which range from camera model and exposure to GPS coordinates.
To end with
Taking everything into consideration, we can say that Photo Finder is suited with good ideas but lacks the skill to express itself. It's not really made for pictures you take on a vacation, and the implemented search engine does not provide much help. Overall, it is a little rough around the edges and you need to spend so time to get to know it.
