Photo Montage Guide Lite

This is the light and free version of Photo Montage Guide, a graphics editing application that offers support for a few popular image formats, including JPG, JPEG, TIF, TIFF, PNG and BMP.
The installation procedure is rapid and does not require special attention. The app's interface is pretty common. Images can be opened using either the file browser or drag-and-drop function.
As far as drawing tools are concerned, you can select between edge, full and effect mode. The first two have three actions available: separate, clear or fill, along with two types of areas for selection and deselection: object or background, and cleaning, respectively. The brush size is adjustable too.
When it comes to effects, you can choose the background mode between color, shadow, blur and monochrome, as well as select a color and tweak it. It is possible to zoom in and out, undo and redo your actions, as well as switch to a different UI language.
A few tutorials are available, showing you how to resize photos and protect objects, remove objects from photos, as well as eliminate the background or apply background effects, among others.
Photo Montage Guide Lite uses moderate memory and low CPU, so it shouldn't affect the PC's overall performance. It has a good response time and works smoothly, without hanging, crashing or popping up error dialogs.
We have not come across any kind of issues throughout our evaluation. All in all, Photo Montage Guide Lite comes packed with some interesting tools for manipulating image files. Too bad it's not very intuitive.
