PicTrix - TimeLapse Description

Chances are you don’t want your computer to enter a particular power state, such as standby or hibernate, and this most likely happens because of lack of activity. You’re free to tweak these states, but there’s also the possibility to have other programs, such as PicTrix - TimeLapse mimic activity for you through repetitive clicks.

Perks of portability and visual design

There’s no setup involved to make the application work, so you can check it out as soon as it reaches your computer. More than that, you can even have it deployed on a thumb drive to use it wherever needed, and it doesn’t make any changes to system registry entries, thus leaving the host computer intact.
A pretty compact window shows up on launch, with a couple of tabs for clever store and display of functions for coordinates, as well as objects. When not used for direct management of a task, you can send it to the tray area, which is the place where it sits most of the times.

Easily configure area and click mode

There are two modes of operations, namely to click according to a set of coordinates, or a particular object. On the bright side, each category comes with its own target picker to easily set accurate coordinates, or to pick a window object, with it being cleverly highlighted for easy identification.
Apart for the target mode, you also need to set the interval and click mode. You’re free to pick from four click modes, namely right, left, as well as double-click for each. Interval is specified in seconds. Sadly, you can’t create multiple sets of operations or profiles to load the one you need for a particular task.

To sum it up

All things considered, we can state that PicTrix - TimeLapse is a practical tool if you want to set up automated mouse clicks. Different modes are available to accurately specify the area or object of interest, as well as time and type of mouse click to perform, while portability offers a neat advantage.
