Picture Viewer (formerly Pic Viewer)

Pic Viewer is an application which allows you to view your image files, as well as make some modifications to them.
This is a portable software, so you don't have to install Pic Viewer. It means that you can place the tool on a removable device (like a USB flash drive), plug it into any computer and directly run its executable file. The most important aspect is that your Windows registry items will not be changed.
The interface of the program is plain and simple to navigate through. Thanks to the Explorer-based layout, you can easily locate and access pictures. In the list you can check out the name, type, size and date of each file.
So, you can preview images or open them in full screen mode, create a slideshow, as well as copy, move and delete photographs. But you can also zoom in and out, fit images to window, mirror, rotate or resize pictures, apply filters (e.g. emboss 3D, sharpen, blur) and make adjustments (e.g. brightness, saturation), and more.
The simplistic program needs a low-to-moderate amount of system resources, has a fair response time and didn't freeze, crash or pop up errors during our tests. There's also a comprehensive help file with snapshots that you can check out. On the other hand, the interface is outdated. But, other than that, Pic Viewer comes with some basic elements for image editing and we recommend it to all users who prefer a straightforward application.
